Greetings from the Student Representative to the Board of Directors

As students, we are well aware that we have important roles to fulfill as future occupational therapists. We must use our passion, energy, and dedication to advocate tirelessly for our profession. We must strive for evidence-based best practice. We must always provide an effective, client-centered skilled service.

As future occupational therapists, we see the world in a unique perspective. In order excel in our profession, we need to communicate and unite. POTA is one such means to do just that. As your POTA Board of Directors student representative, I will work towards keeping the communication open between the students and members of the Board. I will also keep you informed of any opportunities available to you as a student member.

Joining POTA is one small step towards advancing our education and future profession. I invite you to explore all that your POTA membership has to offer, such as scholarships, educational resources, networking opportunities, and more! Below you will find the Student Members-only page link--feel free to explore!

BrOT is a student-formed organization whose mission is to promote gender and cultural diversity within occupational therapy, while ensuring the creation of a widely recognized and powerful profession. This group plans to achieve their goal by utilizing a bold image to aggressively market OT to undergraduate and high school students.
