"Breath and ADL's" presented by Respiratory Therapist Dan Mergner

This course will explain the concept of VO2 max and its relationship with movement during functional tasks such as ADLs. Respiratory therapist, Dan Mergner will present on his work at Temple University with OTR Mark Goren on the use of muscles requiring O2 for ATP production. The presentation will explain oxygen consumption and uptake and how weakened muscles require more O2. Dan will provide us with energy conservation techniques we can provide our patients during completion of functional tasks
