The speakers for this webinar series are Alicia Reiser, OTD, MS, OTR/L, and Joe Kardine, MS, OTR/L. Joe received his Master's in Occupational Therapy from Saint Francis University (PA) in 2014, is LSVT certified, and is an acquired brain injury specialist at The Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Alicia, also LSVT certified, is the owner of a private practice in Allentown with 18 years of experience working with neurological disorders, having specialized in concussion over the past 8 years.
The series will start with identifying why it is important for OT to screen for this performance component and how it falls within our scope of practice, review ABI and pediatric related vision disorders, and what to do after they are identified.
Part two and three will review low vision and acquired brain injury/peds vision tools and assessments respectively.
Part four and five will finally address low vision and acquired brain injury and pediatric interventions.
Attendees will earn 1 contact hour per webinar.
