POTA is continuing our mission of "facilitating quality professional development" opportunities by helping our practitioners meet the challenges of today's rapidly changing practice landscape. By continuing our focus on Telehealth, we are hoping to help our members gain the competence they need to meet the challenges we face as a result of our current crisis. We are offering a two part webinar series on April 13th and 14th.

Part one will present general basics of Telehealth by examining various platforms for delivery of services, challenges to Telehealth use, policy mandates specific to Telehealth use, HIPAA requirements, explore adult Telehealth assessment, and discuss appropriate candidates for occupational therapy using Telehealth.  Part II will focus on interventions appropriate for the adult population in a variety of post-acute care settings using telehealth platforms, COVID-19 telehealth waivers, billing, and documentation practices in telehealth.  Questions and answers will allow for crowd engagement and collaborative sharing.

Help us give a warm Pennsylvania welcome to our presenter, Missi Zahoransky, OTD, OTR/L, FAOTA, who is an alumni and Adjunct Associate Professor at Cleveland State University and an alumni of Chatham University. She owns Total Rehabilitation Specialists, Inc., a provider of home health care services where she implements occupational therapy using Telehealth technology. Dr. Zahoransky hosts a website entitled, "Telehealth and Home Health Care", a rich resource for occupational therapy practitioners wanting to provide best practices in occupational therapy services using telehealth technology with the adult population, particularly in the home health environment. She has authored chapters about home health in Functional Performance in Older Adults (2018), Home Health Care: A Guide for Occupational Therapy Practice (2016), Occupational Therapy Practice Guidelines for Productive Aging for Community-Dwelling Older Adults (2012) as well as various publications on the role of occupational therapy in home care and hospice care.

2.0 contact hours awarded for attendance to each of the two webinars.
