The By-laws of the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association is the official document of our state association. These By-laws have all been approved by a vote of our membership. The last change to our By-laws was in 2018 when we added the Commission on Legislation and Advocacy.
Any changes to the By-laws must be approved by the membership in an all member vote.
The additional governing document of POTA is the POTA Procedural Manual. Required in our by-laws, this document reflects how the by-laws are operationalized. Any additions or changes to the POTA Procedural Manual document must be approved by the POTA Board of Directors.

The Strategic Plan is a dynamic working document developed by the Board of Directors. It sets the direction of the organization and as well as goals/action items to be accomplished. Often members are surveyed to determine the priorities of the membership and these ideas are considered and may be incorporated into the strategic plan. Additionally, there is a group on Social Link entitled "Strategic Plan" where members can contribute ideas to our strategic plan.
